Suzette Volcy was born in Haiti. She moved to New York at a very young age, there she discovered her passion to serve God. She served as a youth leader and choir director for Good Shepherd Church in Brooklyn, New York for 10 years. She is the founder and chairperson to TRANSFORMATION, a ministry that is established to minister to Haitian American youth and young adults through camps and conferences. She served as Women and Family Director for Haitian Ministry Church in Bradenton, Florida for five years. Suzette is an acclaimed youth and women’s speaker and is an active leader in the Haitian-American community. Prior to becoming the Executive Director of Hope Outreach International, she served as project director for three years.
She received a bachelor degree in Social Work from the University of South Florida and a master’s degree in Social Work from Florida Gulf Coast University. Suzette is an experienced counselor; presently she provides mental health counseling to high school students in Bradenton, Florida. In the past she also worked as a counselor in a school based violence prevention program. She has served on various community boards and has led many mission trips to Haiti through Hope Outreach International.
Suzette’s primary commitment is to continue to worship & praise God until the end of the race. She is also an inspiration to people who are struggling to become the total person that God created them to be in their daily walk with Christ. Suzette believes in a philosophy of what she calls “A Nothing Missing and Nothing Broken Approach.” She’s married to Rev. Dr. Julio Volcy. They reside in Florida with their three beautiful children.
