Suzette Volcy was born in Haiti and moved to New York at a young age. While in New York, she discovered her passion to serve God, and later served as a youth leader and as the Choir Director for Good Shepherd Church in Brooklyn for ten years. She is the founder and chairperson of Living Beyond Ministries, which serves to empower women and youths to live life beyond the ordinary. She also founded Transformation, a US-based ministry that aims to minister to Haitian-American youth and young adults through camps and conferences. She has served in many capacities in the church and in her community; while in Florida, she served as the Women’s and Family Director for Haitian Ministry Church for five years. She also served as the Project Director for HOI for three years before becoming Executive Director. In Haiti, she also served as the Director of the Women’s Program for Haiti Teen Challenge.

 

Suzette’s primary commitment in life is to continue to praise and worship God until the end of the race. She is an inspiration to people who are struggling to live out their daily walks with Christ, and has become an acclaimed youth and women’s speaker in the Haitian community. Suzette believes in the philosophy of the “Nothing Missing and Nothing Broken” approach, in that we all have a place to serve in the Kingdom of God.

 

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from the University of South Florida and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Florida Gulf Coast University. As an experienced counselor, Suzette has provided mental health and violence prevention counseling to high school students. She currently resides in Haiti with her husband, Dr. Julio Volcy, and their four beautiful children.
