Since 2002, HOI has conducted an annual Vacation Bible School (VBS) for over 900 children each year in the village of Lamothe. More than 1,000 children have committed their lives to Christ through this ministry. We are certain that God has blessed this ministry because of the engagement of local churches and volunteers. Each year, more than sixty volunteers from Lamothe and the surrounding community participate in VBS to pour into the lives of the children; they serve through teaching, administration, cooking and maintenance. Following the conclusion of VBS, these volunteers become responsible for following up with the new believers and helping them to secure a solid Biblical foundation for their lives.

 

Our VBS partners come from many different parts of the United States, including California, Minnesota, Texas, Florida and Georgia! We reach the children and provide enrichment through sports, organized activities, songs, Bible stories and verses, and life skills training. We also provide the students with two meals per day at VBS, and identify students with specific educational needs. Many of our scholarship students at the HOI Academy are also participants at VBS.
