Thorough consideration is given to group members’ skills and talents before they are placed for service. HOI will walk you through the experience each step of the way, from helping your group with booking plane tickets to providing de-briefing tips once you’ve returned from Haiti.
We give our group members the opportunity to stay with a local Haitian family, upon the request for a cross-cultural experience. If you would like to partake in that experience, our country leader can make the arrangements for you. In order for our groups to enjoy the beauty and wonder of Haiti, we work to integrate recreation and sightseeing experiences into our trips. On every trip, we plan for time to visit local attractions or a nearby beach. At the conclusion of the trip, the team is provided with the opportunity to enjoy dinner out at a local restaurant; quiet, upscale hotels are often used for this purpose, as they provide a great location to begin debriefing.
Please see the brochure below for more details, such as the costs associated with a mission trip and other pertinent information. Printed brochures can be mailed upon request. If you would like to learn more about serving with us in Haiti in any capacity, please contact our Mission Coordinator.
